A preview, still being prepared
Lunlo 0.2.0 is an upcoming account-enabled development release for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 15 or later. Public downloads and subscriptions remain unavailable while service and release preparation is incomplete. The current development build is not Apple-notarized or independently security audited.
The earlier ungated 0.1.0 development build is not the upcoming paid subscription release. Visit release status for current availability.
Planned subscription and free trial
The planned price is $4.99 USD per month. Eligible new subscribers receive a 3-day free trial with a payment card. After the trial, the subscription automatically renews at $4.99 USD/month until canceled. Accounts that have already used their trial are shown the paid monthly plan.
When subscriptions open, checkout will show the payment and renewal details before confirmation. Creating an account alone does not start a trial or authorize a payment. No trial or charge can be started from the current unconfigured preview.
Cancellation and access
When billing is available, use Account → Manage subscription to open Stripe’s billing portal. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. For an active paid plan, cancellation is intended to stop the next renewal while access continues to the displayed period end.
Deleting the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription. Membership checks determine whether the app’s face-unlock feature is available. If membership cannot be verified, the app must not attempt stored-password entry; your normal Mac password remains available.
Use on your own Mac
Use Lunlo only on a Mac and account you are authorized to access. Enrollment, Camera and Accessibility permissions, local session authorization, and a saved Mac password are part of the intended setup. Keep your normal password available and test the behavior on your own hardware before relying on any convenience feature.
Lunlo does not unlock FileVault, the first login after a restart, or a logged-out session. The app must be running with the required permissions and an authorized session.
Camera recognition has limits
A regular RGB webcam does not provide Face ID depth sensing. Face matching and liveness checks cannot reliably defeat video replay. Lighting, hardware, software state, and password-entry timing can affect the result.
This preview is a convenience feature, not a security upgrade. No independent biometric validation or guarantee of successful or secure unlock is represented.

Lunlo is not affiliated with Apple. Mac, macOS, Face ID, and Touch ID are Apple trademarks. Lunlo builds on the MIT-licensed Glance project and uses the AuraFace recognition model under Apache-2.0.
